IF YOU DECIDE TO ELOPE DON’T MISS DO AND DON’TS _ Part 2

13 Feb IF YOU DECIDE TO ELOPE DON’T MISS DO AND DON’TS _ Part 2

DON’TS

1. Don’t FORGET THE LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Once you have decided where and how to elope, don’t forget to check all the legal requirements needed. As a lot of couples organize their elopement abroad, it is very important to check immediately with the country’s embassy the legal details for non residents to be married there, in order to have enough time to get the required paperwork. You can’t risk to be obliged to postpone your wedding because of the lack of a document…

2. Don’t STRESS YOURSELF

Just because you are organizing a very intimate wedding, doesn’t mean that everything is simple and quick, in particular if you decided to elope abroad.
If your desire is to get married in a foreign country, a good idea could be the one of hiring a local wedding planner, who can help you step by step, making all the organizational process stress free.
The advantage is that a local wedding planner knows the territory and can suggest you a list of the most enchanting locations you might not find in your internet research. Besides, she can propose you the most suitable suppliers for your own wedding style.
A local wedding planner will be also attending and coordinating your day in order to let you relax and concentrate only on you both and your emotions.

3. Don’t FEEL CONDITIONED

The choice of how to get married is only of you two both and even it will not be shared by everybody, follow only your hearts.
When you will announce your decision of eloping there is a high possibility someone, (usually your parents) will try to dissuade you. Don’t let them condition your decision and don’t feel judged. An elopement is a very special day, the most intimate moment between you and your partner and if you have decided to live this magical experience, don’t feel guilty because you don’t please your family’s desires.
As they are the persons who love you most, explain that you will involve them and your friends in a post elopement celebration when you will come back home.

4. Don’t LIMIT YOURSELF

As eloping give you the opportunity of satisfying your dreams/ desires without worrying about many of the rules and formality of a traditional wedding, don’ limit yourself!
Let your imagination design the most important day of your lives, thinking that not necessarily it should cost less!
Personalize it as you have always dreamed, make it your own, by selecting the location and the venue reflecting your values. Make your services priority list and allocate your budget.
Be yourself and remember it is your once-in-a-lifetime day!

5. Don’t FORGET TO SURPRISE YOUR BELOVED

An elopement is already something special by itself, but you can make it even more special by making something that will surprise your beloved and that he/she will remember forever. It doesn’t matter if it will be a present full of meaning for you two or a special service you book secretly, as a serenade or love written with fireworks, what’s important is that your beloved doesn’t expect and it will leave him/her breathless.
It will add a magic touch to your unforgettable day.
